The political divisiveness in the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and its repealing or replacement has brought concerns about whether these actions can change public opinion, and mostly the re-election of the legislators (Sances & Clinton, 2021). The development and implementation of the ACA have brought significant benefits to Americans especially those with low income, the elderly, and children (McKenna et al., 2018). The goal of developing and implementing the ACA was to increase insurance coverage among the low-income population in the United States. According to the latest data, about twenty million people who were not insured before are now insured courtesy of the ACA (Kominski et al., 2017). According to preliminary data, the rate of uninsurance among the poor and residents of states with Medicaid expansion has significantly decreased (Cawley et al., 2018). Additionally, the implementation of The Affordable Care Act is linked to significantly increased access to health care among low-income populations, more people utilizing preventive and outpatient services, and increased affordability of health care (Cawley et al., 2018).
