Patient Education

Encourage on lifestyle changes to maintain a healthy weight. The patient has a familial history of breast cancer and this increases the risk of the disease. Therefore, hormonal replacement therapy is not the mainstay treatment modality in management of the peri-menopausal symptoms. According to Li et al., (2016), black cohosh is a herbal treatment modality that has been shown to reduce hot flushes and mood disturbances.
